Thunderstorm, lightning alert for 8 districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Eight districts in Odisha are likely to experience moderate thunderstorm and lightning today.

One or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Gajapti, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada will face such weather conditions, as per forecast of Met Department.

Light rainfall and gusty wind with a speed of 40 kmph will also occur in these areas.

The Regional Meteorological Department foretold that this weather is likely to prevail between 4:15 pm and 7:15 pm, today.

On the other hand, heat wave condition is likely to occur in some parts over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Malkangiri, Bargarh, Sonepur, Nuapada and Boudh from April 27 till 29, informed Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre in a release.
