Thunderstorm & lightning alert for these Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here today issued a fresh thunderstorm warning for seven districts in the state, including the Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the MeT centre, thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Khordha, (including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack (including Cuttcak city), Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Jagatsinghpur.

The weather condition is likely to prevail in these stations till 5 PM today, the weathermen added.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a fresh low pressure area with potential of cyclogenesis likely to form over central Bay of Bengal around October 19.The system is likely to move towards Odisha-West Bengal coast.
