Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here today issued thunderstorm alert for six districts in the state today.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the MeT centre, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and intense rain/hail is likely to occur at one or two places in Ganjam and Puri districts.

Besides, thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at one or two places in Koraput, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar), Gajapati and Raygada districts.

Besides, gusty surface wind with speed reaching 30-40 kmph will prevail in all the stations. The weather condition will remain till 4.45 pm today
