Thunderstorm, lightning warning for five districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Centre here has issued thunderstorm warning for five districts of the State today.

“Thunderstorm accompanied with heavy wind gusting from 50-60 kmph would occur in Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Angul districts till 8.30 PM,” an IMD bulletin said.

Earlier, it had predicted the same in four districts such as Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts till 6.30 PM.

People have been advised not to venture out of home during this time and have been asked to take shelter in safe places.
