Thunderstorm likely in these Odisha districts in 48 hours

Bhubaneswar: Amidst heat wave conditions prevailing in some districts of the State, the thunderstorm is likely to lash several districts in 48 hours.

According to Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Khordha, Ganjam, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh and at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Balangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda and Boudh between today and tomorrow morning.

The thunderstorm warning has been issued for 17 districts till April 5 morning. As per the midday weather bulletin by the IMD, the thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Khordha, Ganjam, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Sundargarh.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Balasore between April 5 and 6 morning.

The dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
