Thunderstorm likely to lash these districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued thunderstorm warning for several districts of Odisha.

“Thunderstorm with gusty wind and lightning likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Khordha today,” a bulletin of the Meteorological Centre said.

Strong surface wind speed reaching 25-35 kmph gusting to 45 kmph likely along and off Odisha coast and north-west Bay of Bengal areas during next 48 hours, the bulletin added.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea in coastal Odisha during the period.
