Thunderstorm, rain in many Odisha districts from today; yellow warning issued

Bhubaneswar: Amidst high humidity caused by subdued monsoon, the rainfall activities are very likely in most parts of Odisha this week starting today, predicted the Regional Meteorological Centre.

According to Bhubaneswar MeT, light to Moderate Rain or Thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and at a few places over the districts of coastal
Odisha today.

The moderate rainfall or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of interior Odisha, Gajapati, Ganjam, and at a few
places over the rest districts of Odisha tomorrow, the weathermen forecast today.

The MeT issued yellow warning of rainfall for several places from today till August 3. Several districts are also put on alert for rainfall from August 5 to 6.

As per weather bulletin, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur. Also Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj for next 24 hours.

Similarly, Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj. Also Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi during August 2 and 3.

Moreover, Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj, Balasore between August 5 and 6.
