Thunderstorm warning for many Odisha places including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here today issued thunderstorm warning for many places of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is likely to occur over some parts of the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Cuttack including Cuttack city, Nayagarh, Khordha including Bhubaneswar, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Deogarh during the next 3 hours, the Meteorological Centre said in a message issued at 4 pm today.

People have been advised to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike.
