Bhubaneswar: A male Royal Bengal Tiger was found dead in Odisha's Similipal Tiger Reserve, an official said today.
"On February 5 evening, a patrolling team spotted the carcass of the tiger at Duduruchampa. The age of the animal is estimated to be 3.5 years," said Prakash Chand Gogineni, Regional Chief Conservator of Forest, Similipal.
"The cause of the death was yet to be ascertained. A team conducted samples while the post-mortem was conducted on February 6 as per guidelines. The samples will be sent for examination to know the exact reason of death," he said.
