Tiger sighted in Mahendragiri forests in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A Royal Bengal Tiger (RBT) has been sighted in Mahendragiri forests in Odisha’s Gajapati district recently.
Images of the tiger were captured in camera traps installed in the forest on October 19, sources said.

The big cat had reportedly killed a cow near Santoshpur area under Mahendragiri forests in the night hours of October 19, sources added.
The Forest department has confirmed the presence of a RBT in Santoshpur area of Mahendragiri after examining the pugmarks of the feline animal, sources said.
The Forest department has also released pictures of the tiger captured in camera traps. It is suspected that the tiger might have migrated to Mahendragiri from some nearby forests in the region.
