Rayagada, Nov 5:

Chandrasekhar Panda, headmaster of the Tikiri UP School where Itishree Pradhan worked as a teacher before being killed has sought police protection and transfer from the school apprehending  revenge attacks by some people close to the main accused in the Itishree murder case Netrananda Dandasena.

Panda along with his wife had met with the Rayagada district collector SB Padhi on Monday to appeal for immediate transfer from Tikiri and necessary protection against possible attacks by Dandasena’s supporters.  Reports said the collector has ordered Panda’s transfer to the ex-Board UP school in Rayagada town.

” Necessary steps to offer protection to the headmaster Chandrasekhar Panda have been taken and this has been communicated to the chief minister’s office”, the collector Padhi told reporters.

Meanwhile Tikiri police have arrested two relatives of the main accused Netrananda, Narendra Dandasena alias Guna and Brundaban Dandasena who along with Netrananda’s second wife had threatened the late lady teacher Itishree with dire consequence if she did not withdraw her complaint.

Itishree had filed an FIR against the three on August 16, sources said.
