TikTok video shot inside quarantine centre in Odisha, FIR lodged

Bhadrak: A TikTok video was allegedly shot inside a quarantine centre in Odisha’s Bhadrak district while an FIR in this connection was lodged at the Tihidi police station today.

As per information, several persons of Bhatapada panchayat were quarantined at a school in the locality as they had come in contact with two persons who tested positive for COVID-19 on April 23.

However, flouting social distancing norms, a video was shot inside the quarantine centre and later uploaded on TikTok by an user. In the video, as many as six persons were seen dancing being close to each other.

Expressing displeasure over the incident, local sarpanch Swarnamayee Jena lodged a complaint in this regard with Tihidi police. Investigation into the matter was underway.

Police have registered a case against the six under sections 188/269/270 of IPC and section 51 of DM Act.
