Berhampur: Even as the Odisha Government reimposed lockdown restrictions in Ganjam, four youths flouted the rules on the streets of Berhampur town in the district and made a TikTok video of the act.

In the video selfie, one of the four youths was seen admitting the offence blatantly saying that he and his three friends are "fearless". All of them were seen roaming on two motorcycles.

As the video went viral and came to the notice of Bada Bazar police, the four were detained at police station. They later signed an undertaking and were released.

The four made another video in which they apologised for their actions and pledged not to repeat it. They also urged people not to come out of their houses for non-essential work during the lockdown in Ganjam.

Worth mentioning, the State Government had yesterday placed Ganjam under lockdown till June 30 to curb the community transmission of coronavirus. The lockdown restrictions in the district will be in force from 12.00 pm to 7.00 am everyday till June 30.

However, there will be relaxation for the public from 7.00 am to 12.00 noon everyday. The essential services will be available during the period.
