New Delhi: At a time when India is fighting against the second wave of Covid, the Government of India today said time has come people wear masks inside their homes.
Niti Aayog Member-Health, Dr. VK Paul said, “In this Covid-19 situation, please don't go out unnecessarily. It is very important to wear a mask. Even within the family wear a mask. Do not invite people into your home.”
The Government also stressed on expediting the pace of Covid vaccination programme. Also, Paul said women can receive the Covid vaccine during menstruation.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal, who was also present during the presser, stated people should take admission in hospitals on basis of the advice of doctors.
The country has enough medical oxygen, said Agarwal adding that the challenge is to transport the O2 to hospitals.
As per the data provided by the Ministry of Health, India reported 3,52,991 cases today taking the case tally to 1,73,13,163.
With 2,812 more deaths in the country due to the Covid, the toll increased to 1,95,123.
