Tiny tots of the DAV School Pokhariput, in Odisha;s capital city, staged a play based on the theme of international peace and brotherhood on the eve of 'International Day of Peace'today at the school premises.DAV school PKPT

The play was directed by a teacher of the school Sakti Prasanna Mohanty.

The International Day of Peace is celebrated on September 21, every year.

The day, first celebrated in 1982, provides an opportunity for individuals and nations to deliberate and understand the great need for peace and universal brotherhood for the growth and progress of the human race.

The International Day of Peace recognizes the efforts of those who have worked hard to promote peace. It is also a day of ceasefire - personal and political - a day to make peace both at the level of personal relationships as well as among regions where conflicts have escalated into war or war-like situations.

The play presented by the little boys and girls at the DAV School, Pokhariput reflected the message and appeal that the International Day of Peace holds for the mankind.
