Tipper truck hits minor, falls 30-ft from bridge in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: In a tragic mishap, a minor boy was critically injured after a tipper truck hit him before falling from a bridge in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district today. The driver too was grievously hurt and was rescued from the vehicle by locals. The minor victim was identified as Subham Behera (14). The incident took place at Daunri Canal on Sathapur-Bajuria road within Gandia police limits.

Both the injured victims were rushed to the district headquarters hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.

As per reports, Subham was sitting alongside the bridge pole when the speeding tipper truck hit him and then toppled from the bridge, falling from a height of 30 feet.

Police have reached the spot and have started investigation. Further probe is on.
