Titlagarh records highest temperature in Odisha

The western Odisha town of Titlagarh today recorded the highest temperature today with over 40 degrees Celsius.

The industrial town remained at the top of the mercury table today with 40.5 degrees Celsius.

The regional meteorological office here had predicted the mercury to rise from today.

The weather bulletin today forecasted that dry and hot conditions would prevail for the next three-four days. Rain or thundershowers may likely to occur at one or two places in coastal parts of the state. However, the interior parts would experience dry conditions, the weather report said.

“Thunder squall accompanied with hail or rain and wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph likely to occur at one or two places over coastal Odisha towards Monday-Tuesday. Day time temperature would increase further after marginal drop in temperature,” the forecast added.

The capital city today recorded 37.7 degrees Celsius with dry and sultry conditions prevailing throughout the day.

Day temperature in other towns are: Balasore 34, Chandbali 35.9, Cuttack 38, Paradip 30.8, Gopalpur 31.6, Puri 32.5, Angul 39.7, Baripada 37.4, Jharsuguda 38.3, Keonjhar 36.5, Sambalpur 38.8, Sundargarh 36, Hirakud 37.6, Bhawanipatna 39.2, Koraput 35, Phulbani 37.2, Titlagarh 40.5, Malkangiri 38, Sonepur 38.8 and Daringibadi 32.6.
