Top bureaucrats visit Phulbani to take stock of healthcare facilities

Phulbani: In a bid to make the governance people-centric, Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy along with 5T Secretary VK Pandian is on one-day visit to 3 districts to review Mo Sarkar programme.

Accompanied by National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Director Shalini Pandit, Tripathy and Pandian first visited the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Kandhamal, to inquire about functioning of the medical institution and healthcare services being provided to the patients.

The three-member team later headed for Boudh as part of their trip to assess proper implementation of Mo Sarkar initiative. They will visit Nayagarh DHH to review healthcare facilities in the district.

Worth mentioning, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5T Secretary Pandian embarked on his trip to various districts on October 9 in southern regions of the state to expedite Mo Sarkar programme, which was launched on Gandhi Jayanti for transparency in governance.

Pandian, who is also the Private Secretary to CM, visited Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Nuapada in last two consecutive days for assessment of healthcare services and infrastructures in state-run hospitals in backward districts.
