Bhubaneswar: A high-level team of the Odisha Government led by Development Commissioner today visited Swabhiman Anchala (cut-off areas) in Chitrakonda of Malkangiri district to review various developmental projects in the region.
The team including Additional Chief Secretary and Secretaries of Works, Rural Development and General Administration (GA) Departments, reviewed various developmental works like drinking water supply, road construction and fish farming at grassroots level in the cut-off areas. Malkangiri District Collector Manish Agarwal and village development officials also accompanied the team.
The four secretaries also held a meeting in Chitrakonda, where they discussed about various issues faced by people in the region. They also discussed about the utilization of the Rs 100 crore package sanctioned for the Swabhiman Anchala by Odisha Government.
It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while inaugurating the Gurupriya bridge in Chitrakonda in July had sanctioned Rs 100 crore for implementation of various developmental projects in Swabhiman Anchala.
