Toshali Crafts Mela in Odisha capital from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The 13th Toshali National Crafts Mela is all set to kick-start from tomorrow here.

As many as 380 stalls will be set up and more than 350 artisans and weavers from across the country will participate in the 17-day-long fair at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.

The fair conducted by the State Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts department will conclude on January 13, 2019.

Total Rs 3.46 crore will be spent for the fair and the department aims to generate Rs 22 crore-revenue during the event, informed Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Secretary Shubha Sarma.

For the first time, the leading hotels will open their stalls at the food court of Toshali Crafts Mela showcasing delicious foods. This will be a great opportunity for the food lovers to taste both Odia and cuisines from other States at the fair.

The visitors can spend their chilly winter evenings enjoying the cultural programmes at Janata Maidan during the event.
