In a tragic incident, a tourist died while taking a bath in Puri sea near Swargadwar in Odisha this evening.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Pal (26) from West Bengal.

According to reports, Bishnu arrived at Anandamayi Ashram near Puri beach around 5 pm today with a 24 member tourist group from West Bengal. Later, he went into the sea to take bath.

Unfortunately, a high tide swept him away into deep sea following which on duty lifeguards swung into action and rescued him in a critical condition.

He was rushed to Puri District Headquarters Hospital where the working doctor declared him brought dead.
