Traffic to be diverted on Kuakhai bridge from tomorrow, here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Traffic will be diverted on the Kuakhai extreme left bridge connecting the Twin City of Odisha from September 22.

In a notification, the Commissionerate Police said all the vehicles intending to go from Bhubaneswar side to Cuttack side will be diverted from extreme left bridge towards middle bridge from 11.00 AM to 04.00 PM from 22.09.2020 to 27.09.2020 or till the work of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is over.

In the first phase in order to facilitate the Inspection/survey work for the benefit of the commuters, there is need for diversion of the vehicles for smooth flow of traffic at Kuakhai bridge and the approach roads for safety and security of commuters, the notification added.

NHAI proposed to undertake inspection/survey of Kuakhai’ extreme left bridge, Kathajodi extreme left bridge, Mahanadi middle bridge and Birupa extreme left bridge on NH-16 and requested the Commissionerate Police for diversion of traffic.
