Trafficking: Vehicle carrying cattle overturns in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A pickup van illegally carrying cattle overturned on NH-16 near Tisalpur Chhak under Bhadrak Rural police limits late last night injuring four cows critically.

Occupants of another vehicle escorting the pickup van tried to decamp with remaining cattle but in vain as locals gathered at the spot. They fled the spot leaving the pick up van.

The animals were being trafficked in the van from Bhadrak to West Bengal, sources said.

Police have seized the vehicle and started an investigation.
