Tragic: 4 killed, 4 critical in road mishap in Odisha

Bhawanipatna: In a tragic incident, four people were killed and four others injured after a tractor turned turtle at Kaduapadar village in Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi district last night.

The deceased have been identified as Gayatri Majhi, Saibani Majhi, Urmi Majhi and Manas Majhi, all residents of Labaneswar village under Bhawanipatna block.

According to sources, the labourers were returning to their village in the tractor from Sagada village.  The accident took place at around 8 pm, when the driver lost control over the vehicle. Soon after, the driver fled from the scene. While two labourers were crushed under the wheels of the tractor and died on the spot, six others were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) at Bhawanipatna , where two others died undergoing treatment. Four others were undergoing treatment in critical condition till past reports came in.

On the other hand, police reached the spot and started an inquiry.
