Train runs over mother-daughter in Odisha; lose limbs
Sonepur: A woman and her 3-year-old daughter lost their limbs after being run over by a goods train near Dunguripali Railway Station here in the district today.
The injured were identified as Lalita Nayak (35), wife of Paramananda Nayak of Andharibanchhi village and her daughter Lucie.
According to reports, the mother-daughter duo was run over by a goods train while crossing railway tracks near Sahala railway crossing at around 11.45 am on Sunday.
While woman’s one leg was severed, her daughter lost her foot in the mishap.
The duo was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Dunguripali, in critical condition for treatment.
