Train services affected due to landslide on Koraput-Kirandul line; check details

Bhubaneswar: Train services have been affected due to landslide between Manabar and Jarati stations on Koraput-Kirandul line, said the East Coast Railway (ECoR) today.

The landslide took place at around 3 am on September 24. Due to the landslide, several large boulders and huge quantities of soil came crashing on the railway track, sources said.

The railway authorities have deployed several earthmovers and other equipment along with workers to clear the track. However, the work is yet to be completed. Due to which, the services of several trains have been affected on Koraput-Kirandul route.

The services of the following trains have been affected:

18107 Rourkela-Jagadalpur Express from Rourkela will run up to Koraput and remain cancelled from Koraput to Jagadalpur on Sept 27 & 28.
18108 Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express will originate from Koraput and remain cancelled from Jagadalpur to Koraput on Sept 28 & 29.
18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Hirakhand Express from Bhubaneswar will run up to Koraput and remain cancelled from Koraput to Jagadalpur on Sept 27 & 28.
18448 Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express will originate from Koraput and remain cancelled from Jagadalpur to Koraput on Sept 28 & 29.
08552 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Special will originate from Araku and remain cancelled from Kirandul to Araku on Sept 28 & 29.
08551 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Special from Visakhapatnam will run up to Araku and remain cancelled from Araku to Kirandul on Sept 28 & 29.
18005 Howrah-Jagadalpur Visakha Express from Howrah will run up to Titilagarh and will remain cancelled from Titilagarh to Jagadalpur on Sept 27 & 28.
18006 Jagadalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express will originate from Titilagarh instead of Jagadalpur and remain cancelled from Jagadalpur to Titilagarh on Sept 28 & 29.
18514 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express from Visakhapatnam will run up to Koraput and remain cancelled from Koraput to Kirandul on Sept 27 & 28.
18513 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express will originate from Koraput and remain cancelled from Kirandul to Koraput on Sept 28 & 29.
