Trains scheduled to leave from Surat for Odisha tomorrow cancelled

Surat: Following the Orissa high Court order, the Odisha government on Thursday cancelled permission for three trains scheduled to leave from Surat in Gujarat tomorrow. This was informed by Surat Collector Dhaval Patel today.

As the Orissa High Court today ordered people want to go to Odisha cannot be allowed to enter the State without being tested negative for COVID-19, the permission for the trains was cancelled by the government.

The Surat Collector further said those who had booked tickets for the trains will be refunded by the Railways.

Meanwhile, the Railways said three trains that have left from Surat carrying Odisha returnees today are scheduled to arrive at Jagannathpur in Ganjam district tomorrow.
