Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) is now constructing a tree house and a Japanese Garden at Jaydev Vatika, one of the most preferred spots for recreation in the capital city here.
The wooden tree house with staircases will be the new attraction for visitors at Jaydev Vatika, said the OFDC.
“The visitors can observe the scenic beauty of Jaydev Vatika from the tree house. This new facility will definitely attract more number of visitors to the garden,” it added.
Similarly, the construction work of a Japanese Garden is going on at full pace at Jaydev Vatika. The garden is being built on three acres of land.
The garden will have two ponds and a bridge in between to provide a unique experience to the visitors.
The OFDC had earlier constructed artificial waterfalls, springs, flower gardens, water fountains and lawns among other facilities at Jaydev Vatika.
Similarly, the garden has at least 22 elevated platforms (Pindi) and other required facilities for picnickers. In addition to this, Jaydev Vatika, located in Khandagiri area of the city, boasts two conference rooms and a food court on its premises.
Hundreds of people from across the city and its nearby places visit Jaydev Vatika for recreation.
