Tremors felt in Odisha’s Gajapati as earthquake hits district

Bhubaneswar: A mild earthquake of magnitude 3.4 on Richter scale hit Odisha’s Gajapati district today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here said.

The earthquake occurred at 9.46 AM at a depth of 5 km. Its epicentre was about 277 kilometres away from Bhubaneswar.

There were no reports of any casualty or damage to property.

The tremors were felt in Parlakhemundi town and several other parts of the district.
