The trial run was conducted in the presence of RP Diwakar, Chief Administrative Officer and supervised by Sankarshan Nayak, Chief Engineer and Sudhir Parida, Deputy Chief Engineer.

As per procedure, the line has to be inspected by the commissioner of Railway Safety before it is opened for train operations.

The inspection by Commissioner of Railway Safety is scheduled in October.

It may be noted that the Railway ministry has given top priority to completion of the doubling of railway line up to Puri before the Nabakalebara festival scheduled next year.

ECoR general Manger Rajiv Vishnoi has congratulated the team and advised them to finish other works under progress as per the timelines laid down.
