Bhubaneswar: Three members of a family were hacked to death by unknown miscreants in Odisha’s Kalahandi district today.

A woman, her two-year-old son and an elderly person from her family were hacked to death by unknown persons at Shankarpala village under Junagarh police limits in Kalahandi in the evening hours today.

The bodies of the three slain persons were found lying alongside the village road. A sharp-edged weapon was also found from the spot, sources said.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
