Truck driver killed, helper injured in collision on NH in Odisha

Jajpur: One person was killed and another sustained injured after a truck collided with another truck here in the district.

The deceased person was identified as Krushna Dalei (40), a truck driver from Berhampur area. The person injured in the accident was identified as Muna Das (19).

The incident occurred at Kadei Chhak under Barchana police limits on the National Highway 16 early in the morning.

According to reports, a truck enroute to Kolkata hit another truck parked on roadside from behind at Kadei Chhak.

While driver of the truck died on the spot, helper was injured in the incident.

The injured helper was rushed to Barchana Community Health Centre (CHC) from where he was shifted to the SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
