Tata Steel RDS-constructed poultry shed inaugurated in Odisha village

Sukinda, Aug 28:

A poultry shed constructed by Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS), the CSR arm of Tata Steel, at Kusumundia village as part of its endeavour to ensure the development of the villages located in and around Sukinda in Jajpur district of Odisha was inaugurated on Tuesday.

Pankaj Kumar Satija, GM (O) FAMD, inaugurated the new poultry shed in the presence of Amit Choube, Head CSD, Sukinda Chromite Mine, Sahil Sood, Executive Asst. to GM, Jasprit Singh Asst. Manager (Admin), Baman Dehuri, Head of Kusumundia village, local villagers and SHG members.

Earlier, TSRDS had organised a 6-day poultry training programme from 20th August to 25th August covering topics like care for poultry, vaccination, feeding procedure, disease profile among others.

After inauguration, Mr Satija distributed certificates to 42 Self Help Group (SHG) members of Maa Sambleswari SHG, Mahulkhal, Maa Sidheswari SHG, Mahulkhal and Maa Tarini SHG, Kusumundia. Dr Sagar Kumar Samal, farm manager, CPDO was the resource person from CPDO Bhubaneswar and Mr J Sandil, Unit Head, TSRDS, Sukinda were present on the occasion.
