Two dead, one critical as car collides with truck on NH16 in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic mishap, two persons died while another suffered critical injuries after their vehicle collided with a truck on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Amulya Das of Jajpur and Sushil Kumar Kar of Bhadrak. The injured victim was immediately rushed to SCM Medical College and Hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.

As per reports, the trio was coming from Cuttack when their four-wheeler collided head-on with a truck at Pahala on NH-16. Such was the impact of the collision that two of them died on the spot while another was critically injured. Pahala police, on getting information, reached the spot immediately and started investigation after clearing the road. A case has been registered and investigation underway, they said.
