Two die, two injured in head-on collision in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Two persons died and two others were critical in head-on collision between a car and truck in Sundargarh district.

The victims were identified as Mukesh Pashayat and Suraj Patel of Dudukabahal under Laikera police limits and Dadarapali village respectively. The injured persons identified as Ajit Pashayat of Kinjirma and Nashib Mahakud of Chhamunda village were admitted to the district headquarters hospital.

The incident occurred at around 11.30 pm last night near Karamdihi on state highway 10 in the district.

According to reports, a car in which three persons were travelling from Rourkela towards Sundargarh was hit by a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction near a dhaba.

While Mukesh died on the spot, Ajit and Suraj and Nashib were rushed to the hospital by the police. Later, Suraj succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. Ajit and Nashib were shifted to Burla medical for treatment.
