Two dreaded criminals arrested after encounter in Odisha

Kendrapara: Two notorious criminals Ananta Prasad Jena and Prabhat Nayak were arrested following an encounter in Odisha’s Kendrapara district late on Friday night.

The duo has sustained injuries in ambush with police personnel.

According to reports, a team of police conducted encounter near Kalapola on Marshaghai-Angulai road after they received information about presence of two criminals, who were involved in over 15 criminal cases.

Jena and Nayak received bullet injuries on two legs and right hand respectively in exchange of fire. They were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Kendrapara, for treatment.

Police sources said that the duo was the prime accused in murder of a young businessman Gagan Bihari Sahoo near Hatia village last month.
