Two drown in river in Odisha’s Cuttack after Holi celebrations

Cuttack: As many as two youths drowned in Kathajodi river in Odisha’s Cuttack city today while bathing after Holi celebrations.

The deceased have been identified as Nishant Padhi and Subham Kumar Behera of Netaji Nagar area here.

According to reports, the duo was taking bath in the river near Ghatakula in Bayalish Mouza after celebrating Holi. Unfortunately, the two friends slipped into deep water and went missing.

On being informed by locals, Fire Service personnel reached the spot, rescued the two and rushed them to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, where doctor declared them brought dead.
