Two from Odisha among India’s top medical colleges

Bhubaneswar: Two Government medical colleges in Odisha have been ranked in the India Today’s list of best medicine colleges in the country.

The SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla, Sambalpur have been placed in Rank-31 and Rank- 37 in the India’s Best Medicine Colleges- 2018.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has topped the list followed by Christian Medical College in Vellore and Armed Forces Medical College in Pune.

Sources said 100 out of the 450 Government medical colleges across the country were included in the survey by India Today.

Besides, in the list of India’s best engineering Government colleges-2018, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar has been enlisted in rank-10 and National Institute of Information and Technology (NIIT), Rourkela in rank-17.
