Two gates of Odisha's Hirakud dam opened

Sambalpur: As many as two gates of the Hirakud dam in Odisha's Sambalpur district were opened by authorities this evening.

At 9 pm, the water level, which was steady, stood at 630 ft against the reservoir capacity of 630 ft, official sources said.

The water inflow was recorded at 59,903 cusecs, sources added.
