Two persons were killed and 20 others injured when a private bus in which they were travelling overturned near Panchabhuti village under Jagannathprasad police station limits this morning.

According to reports, the ill-fated bus was on its way to Bhanjanagar from Odagaon in the neighbouring Nayagarh district when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Panchabhuti village.

The locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers from the bus.

The injured were later admitted to Bhanjanagar hospital for treatment.
