Two labourers dead, 2 others critical as Andhra-bound tractor meets road mishap in Odisha

Kalahandi: In a tragic incident, two labourers were killed while two others suffered critical injuries after a truck collided with an overturned tractor at Kaliapada under Tikiri police limits in Kalahandi district today.

As per reports the labourers were returning to Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh in the tractor after working in Kalahandi early this morning. At Kaliapada, the ill-fated vehicle overturned, following which two of them got trapped under it. While two other labourers were rescuing them, a speeding truck hit the tractor killing two of them on the spot.

Locals rushed to the spot and admitted the two critically-injured labourers to hospital for treatment. On receiving information, Tikiri police reached, seized the two vehicles and began an inquiry into the incident.
