Two Maoists killed in police encounter in Odisha
Bargarh: Two Maoists were killed in exchange of fire with police personnel in a forested area in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Tuesday, police said.
The gun battle took place at Salepali jungle under Paikamala police station in the district followed by a combing operation.
Odisha Police Director General RP Sharma took to Twitter to inform about the operation.

Sources said the encounter was a result of well-prepared operation carried out on the basis of intelligence inputs that the ultras are camping in the area.
Two muzzle-loading 303 rifles and other articles were recovered from the spot.
The identity of the two killed, who were in “uniform” is yet to be ascertained.
The combing operation was going on by the time of filing this story.
