Two kids drown in pond in Odisha

Bhadrak: In yet another drowning incident, two three-year-old children drowned in a pond at Samantaraipur village under Tihidi block in Bhadral district today.

The deceased have been identified as Swagat Mallick, son of Ganesh Mallick and Samarjit Mallick, son Sanjit Mallick.

Sources said the two children were playing near the pond today. Accidentally, both fell into the pond and later drowned. Hearing their scream, a few locals jumped into the pond, rescued them from the water body and rushed them to a hospital in Tihidi.

However, doctors declared them dead at the hospital.
