Two minor boys drown in pond in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: In a tragic incident, two minor boys drowned in a pond at Sahadasingiri village under Balikuda police limits in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district today while bathing in the water body.

The deceased have been identified as Omm Biswal (9) and Raju Rout (10).

The duo met watery grave around 9 AM as they slipped into deep water while taking bath in the pond before going to school. Hearing their screams for help, some youths of the village jumped into the pond and fished the two out.

They were rushed to the district headquarters hospital, where doctor declared them dead.
