Two minor boys drown in pond in Odisha’s Rayagada

Rayagada: In a tragic incident, two minor boys drowned in a pond while bathing near Matikana village in Odisha’s Rayagada district.

The deceased have been identified as Suner Himirika (7) and Alekh Himirika (7). Both had reportedly gone to the pond yesterday evening for taking bath. Unfortunately, the duo drowned in the water body and died.

Fire personnel recovered the two bodies from the pond this morning. A pall of gloom descended on the village following the mishap.
