Two minor boys meet watery grave while taking bath in Odisha

Chandbali: In a saddening incident, two minor boys drowned while taking bath in Odisha’s Bhadrak district today. The deceased were identified as Jagan Mahalika (9) and Manoj Mahalika (12) from Majhisahi village under Banshada police limits of the district.

At around 11 am, Jagan and Manoj went to a canal at one end of the village to take bath. However, they slipped into deep water and got drowned. Following their delay to return home, family members of the two minor boys launched a frantic search for them.
One of the family members initially spotted two pairs of chapals on the canal embankment. With the help of locals, the family members later fished out the two minor boys in unconscious state.

They two minor boys were admitted to the hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

Sources said post mortem of the two minor boys will be carried out tomorrow.
