Two minor girls drown in Balimela Reservoir in Odisha

Malkangiri: In a tragic incident, two minor girls died allegedly after drowning in Balimela Reservoir in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

The incident was reported from Kenduguda village under Korukonda block.

According to reports, four minor girls in the village had gone to the Balimela Reservoir to take a bath on Thursday afternoon. While bathing, two of them went missing in the deep water.

The villagers launched a search operation in the reservoir yesterday. The bodies were recovered in the wee hours today.
