Two minor sisters drown in pond in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Basudevpur: In a tragic incident, two minor sisters drowned while taking bath in a pond at Bideipur village here in Bhadrak district today.

The deceased sisters were identified as Mamuni (10) and Papuni (8), the daughters of Prashant Mallick of Bideipur village under Basudevpur block.

According to reports, two sisters had gone to the village pond for bath after returning from school. While the duo was taking bath, their legs slipped and drowned in the water.

The locals rescued the girls from the pond and rushed the hospital where the doctors declared both the sisters dead.
