Two more areas declared as Micro Containment Zone in Odisha’s Rourkela

Rourkela: Two more areas of Odisha’s Rourkela city have been declared as Micro Containment Zone due to rise of Covid positive cases.

Dibyajyoti Parida, Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation declared some areas of B-Block of Sector-20 of Steel Township and some parts of Jagada under Rourkela Municipal Corporation as Micro Containment Zone due to detection of more number of Covid-19 positive cases.

In these areas, measures will be taken for active contract tracing and to contain spreading of COVID-19. All vehicular movements, movement of public transport and personal movement will be stopped. All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home. The supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams of SAIL-RSP and Rourkela Municipal Corporation.

Also, the Micro Containment Zone restrictions has been lifted from Sector-20, Sector-1 under steel township (SAIL Area) and Income Tax Colony under Rourkela Municipal Corporation area in the Steel City. Commissioner Parida issued an order for lifting the restrictions from the areas in view of non-detection of any new positive COVID-19 cases.
