Bhubaneswar: Two more COVID-19 patients died in Odisha, informed State Health & Family Welfare Department today.
While one patient succumbed to the deadly virus, another patient died due to other complications.
Regret to report that a 46 year old Covid positive Male of Ganjam district passed away while under treatment in hospital for Covid pneumonia.

With this, the number of deceased cases rose to 15 in the State.
Another COVID-19 patient died due to complications following cancer surgery.
A 60-year old Covid positive patient of Mayurbhanj who was suffering from cancer of the oesophagus passed away due to post operative complications following cancer surgery.

With one more COVID patient's death due to other ailment, the total number of deaths other than COVID reaches 6.
Yesterday, three COVID-19 patients had died in the State. While two deaths were due to COVID-19, one casualty was other than COVID.
The two COVID deaths were from Bargarh and Ganjam districts. The patient, who succumbed due to other ailment, was from Puri district.
Today, 143 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in last 24 hours in Odisha, of which 137 cases have been detected from quarantine centres and 6 are local contacts. Of new positive cases reported from 17 districts today, two are NDRF personnel.
